TC66 SUPERDETERGENT is a mineral oil emulsifying/dispersing detergent, largely used for the cold-cleaning of oil-tankers, mineral oil vessels, parts of machinery, power looms, hulls, metallic parts and bilges of motor and sailing boats,and for the decontamination of sea water from hydrocarbons. The cleaning effects of TC66 as dispersant in oil spill in the marine system are the following:
- by increasing the surface area and thereby promoting microbial degradation of oil, TC66 can increase the degradation rate from 10 to 100 times than that of nonemulsified oil;
- dispersed oil does not adhere to bird feathers, pilings, boats, and beach sand;;
- the dispersion of oil in the water column reduces fire hazards;
- dispersed oil does not form tar residues.
TC66 is capable of fluidifying oily sediments on tank surfaces, thus obtaining through waterwashing saleable slops. TC66 completely removes the following sediments:
- mineral oils and by-products;
- wiredrawing organic compounds;
- oils for metal processing;
- oils, grease and protective waxes.

TC66 has an excellent penetration and drainage degree; thanks to its low superficial tension, it cleans with great effectiveness even the roughest surfaces and thread forms.
It does not damage plastic or rubber components and it is also recommended for the degreasing of coated surfaces and non-ferrous metals.
TC66 complies with the strictest safety requirements and is approved by the Italian Ministry of Merchant Marine, that gave its approval after satisfactory examination carried out by the Italian Board of the Health Ministry.
Moreover, TC66 is a cleaning agent for metal surfaces approved by the Italian Navy Ministry since it complies with NAV - 01-MM-6/PC standard, and by the Ministry of Environment. It is currently used by shipyards, refineries, mechanical industries, and is available in 20/50/200 plastic and metal drums. Ready-for use TC66 can be stored indefinitely.
